Leadership
Joan Trice is the founder and CEO of Clearbox, a company focused on modernizing property data capture and collateral risk management for the real estate industry. She is also the founder of Appraisal Buzz, Valuation Expo, and the Collateral Risk Network. Joan successfully sold Appraisal Buzz and Valuation Expo and later stepped down from the Collateral Risk Network to focus full-time on the next generation of property data and valuation technology.
A nationally recognized voice in valuation and collateral risk, Joan has spoken twice before the United States House Committee on Financial Services on issues impacting the future of housing finance and appraisal modernization.
Today, her focus is leading the development of BoxLi™, Clearbox’s revolutionary LiDAR-powered property data capture platform designed to support UAD 3.6, Property Data Reports (PDRs), hybrid valuations, and the emerging digital property ecosystem. Through Clearbox and BoxLi, Joan continues to advocate for better data, greater transparency, and modernization across the real estate and mortgage industries.
Thomas Gomboc has spent his career at the intersection of complex technology and real business outcomes. Over the past decade, he has built and consulted on AI and technology solutions for organizations ranging from early-stage startups to Fortune 100 companies. He previously managed $100M+ in operations at an environmental tech firm, including a major North American acquisition. Thomas holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Graz University of Technology and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University. Having built and operated across Europe, Asia, Australia, and the U.S., he brings a hands-on, cross-cultural approach to translating AI capabilities into practical results for non-technical audiences.
