The November 2, 2026 mandate was not delayed. A temporary exception lets some lenders keep taking UAD 2.6 until May 2027. Here is what happens when.
UAD 3.6 required for new GSE submissions
New appraisals delivered to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac must use UAD 3.6 and the new URAR. Sellers approved for the temporary exception can keep delivering UAD 2.6.
UAD 2.6 reports lose full CU and LCA support
UAD 2.6 reports delivered under the exception get reduced Collateral Underwriter and Loan Collateral Advisor functionality and lose representation and warranty relief.
UAD 3.6 required for every new submission
The exception ends. Every new appraisal delivered to the GSEs must be UAD 3.6. The last day to deliver a new UAD 2.6 report is May 19, 2027.
UAD 2.6 retired
Resubmissions of previously delivered UAD 2.6 reports close (last day June 27, 2027) and UAD 2.6 support ends.
